Anchor Mariner Jack – Frankincense

Oh, how fun it is to stumble upon a refreshing beard oil, every now and then. Sometimes it happens that you just jump in your seat as your brain shapes images from the smells you take in through your nose. Some are transported to the docks of Sydney, others see rolling fields, and we… ended up in granddad’s outhouse.

Scent
The first image that pops into our minds when we sniff Anchor Jack Frankincense is… a well-smelling outhouse. Now don’t get us wrong, this is a compliment, because the more we sniff it, the more we smile (and that’s always high praise). If we try to explain what we mean, we end up with a soapy smell with hints of roses and potpourri. It just smells clean! Two thumbs up from the whole panel.

Bottle and packaging
The label on this little bugger (10ml) feels both DIY and very thought-through. The feeling of craftsmanship, as well as a nice and robust dropper, adds some extra bonus points. Hurrah! Hurrah!

Conclusion
This beard oil was definitely a happy surprise for all of us. The scent was spot-on, and the bottle feels personal enough for it to be a favourite brand in the bathroom cabinet. Price-wise, it’s in a nice spot, and we definitely highly recommend this one!
